Makalei Golf Club offers a breath-takingly beautiful golf course on the Big Island of Hawaii. Designer Dick Nugent & Associates has made every effort to preserve the beauty of the Big Island by placing the golf course among the native trees and natural features such as lava tubes and cinder cones.
The golf course at Makalei Golf Club on the Big Island offers challenging play for golfers of all levels by providing multiple tees that can extend from 5242 yards to a championship length of 7091 yards. Bent grass, unusual in Hawaii, is featured on all our tees and greens, and top class sand from Idaho is used in our bunkers.
Pheasants, turkeys, peacocks and other wild animals make their home around the golf course.
